Former Loyola Basketball player Demetrius Williams Named Player Of The Year in Romania

Former Loyola University Chicago forward Demetrius Williams, who graduated in 2004, was recently named Player of the Year in Romania after an impressive season. Playing for Dinamo Bucuresti, the 6-foot-9 graduate of King High School averaged 17.9 points and 14.2 rebounds, while shooting 66 percent (93 for 142) from the field. (more)

Detroit Hires Ray McCallum As Men's Basketball Head Coach

Ray McCallum -a veteran of more than 20 years in college basketball and, most recently, assistant head coach at Indiana University - has been hired as the University of Detroit Mercy's new head coach.
